
Stephen Ferre is an award-winning composer, conductor, and trombonist. His principal teachers were Alan Stout, Bill Karlins, and Loris Chobanian, as well as further studies with Per Nørgård, Bernard Rands, and Jakob Druckman. After moving to the UK in 1989, he worked as a music engraver for many of the major European publishers. He returned to the US in 2012 to teach at Syracuse University where he also directed their Contemporary Music Ensemble. He has conducted and performed for the Society for New Music. Since 2017, he has taught at the College‐Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.

Website updates
Hi Everyone, There has been a major WordPress update that has cleared some of the problems that caused the website to lag. I’ll probably be adding some more content over the next couple of months.
Confirmation
I think this site is where I want it now. There are a few things that I may change. I’m still finding it a little slow, much slower than a wordpress-based site, rather than a WP site hosted by my ISP. I would have thought it would be quicker. The monthly charge for a WordPress…
